General Ultrasound Sonographer – OB Focus

Position Overview

The facility's Diagnostic Imaging Department is seeking an experienced General Ultrasound Sonographer with strong obstetrical expertise. You will perform a variety of ultrasound examinations across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings, collaborating closely with the physician team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform 2nd and 3rd trimester OB ultrasound imaging, including fetal anatomy, growth studies, and biophysical profile examinations
• Conduct general ultrasound examinations across all body systems
• Provide imaging services to patients of all ages
• Work collaboratively with physicians to ensure diagnostic quality and patient safety

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
• Current ARDMS certification
• Current RVT certification
• Recent, hands-on OB ultrasound experience is mandatory — you must demonstrate independent competency performing 2nd and 3rd trimester scans, including fetal anatomy and growth studies

Assignment Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, day shift, no call
• Schedule: 13-week contract with guaranteed 32 hours per week
• Start Date: September 15, 2026 (Wednesday start)
• Location: Rural northeastern Vermont, approximately 2 hours from the nearest major airport

• Personal vehicle required — public transportation is not available
