Emergency Department Nurse – 16-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a 16-week night shift assignment. You'll work in a high-acuity environment specializing in geriatric emergency care—the area's first ACEP-accredited geriatric ED—alongside a collaborative, experienced team committed to excellent patient outcomes.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 x 12-hour night shifts rotating between 3P–3A and 7P–7A
• 36 hours per week with guaranteed hours
• One weekend shift per contracted week (or two every other weekend)
• At least one holiday per contract required
• Blocked scheduling available: rotating or fixed blocks (Thurs/Fri/Sat, Fri/Sat/Sun, or Sat/Sun/Mon)
• On-call optional but recommended: 32–44 hours available, averaging 2 hours/week; pickup in 4, 8, 12, or 16-hour blocks (7P–7A)

Requirements

• Active NY RN license
• AHA BLS and NIH certifications
• Minimum 2 years recent emergency nursing experience
• 2 years U.S. work history required for international candidates
• Reside more than 50 miles from the facility
