RN – Acute Care of Elderly (ACE) / Alternate Level of Care Unit | Rochester, NY
This 16-week night shift contract places you on an Acute Care of Elderly (ACE) and Alternate Level of Care (ALC) unit, providing specialized inpatient care for geriatric and complex medical patients requiring step-down or transitional-level support.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (with some 7A–7P rotation)
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- 1 weekend shift per week, or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
- At least 1 holiday shift required per contract
Clinical Scope
The unit serves an elderly and medically complex population with needs spanning acute medical management, telemetry monitoring, and care transition planning. Experience in med/surg or telemetry is essential to succeed in this fast-paced, high-need environment.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital experience, including at least 1 recent year in med/surg or telemetry
- Non-U.S. candidates must have 2 years of U.S. clinical work history
- Charge nurse experience requested but not required
Additional Details
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Schedule flexibility required to meet unit needs; block booking may be requested but is not guaranteed
