Med/Surg Tele RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a 18-week contract with potential to extend. This is a rotating shift role providing care to medical and surgical patients on telemetry monitoring.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Shifts may vary to meet operational needs; the facility will work to honor your preferred shift when possible
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Potential float assignments to related units caring for the same patient population

Requirements

• 12 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing
• Permanent Ohio license or compact state license (in hand at start)
• Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• One professional reference (manager, supervisor, ANM, or director) from the past 12 months required

Orientation & Competencies

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation; acceptable scores required on both (maximum 2 attempts)
• Annual hands-on competency required for contracts extending 1+ year

Extension Opportunity

• Eligible to extend up to 18 months; a 6-month break follows unless deferred by the facility
