Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) — Night Shift RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Medical Intensive Care Unit on the night shift. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment, managing high-acuity patients with complex medical conditions.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Holiday Coverage: Must work at least every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of permanent, full-time experience in critical care nursing (MICU or similar high-acuity setting)
• Active RN license: permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications (active and in hand):
• BLS (American Red Cross or equivalent)
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Professional Requirements

• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director required; must be from work within the past 12 months
• Background check and credential review required; no open cases or license issues accepted
• Drug screening (10-panel + nicotine) required within 12 months of start date
• BCI/FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing

Orientation

You will complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation. Passing scores on both are mandatory.

Additional Information

• Extension opportunities available (up to 18 months, with required 6-month break thereafter)
• Orientation includes pre-start modules (6–15 hours; first 4 hours are paid)
