Labor & Delivery RN – 12-Hour Rotating Shifts
About the Role
The facility's labor & delivery unit is seeking an experienced RN for a 14-week contract. You'll work 12-hour rotating shifts (7 AM–7:30 PM and 7 PM–7:30 AM) on an every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday schedule.
The unit handles approximately 3,000 deliveries annually across 9 labor rooms, 5 rooms, and 2 operating and recovery rooms. You'll care for low- and high-risk obstetric patients, assist with deliveries, and support surgical cases as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 recent years of L&D RN experience
- OR circulator experience required
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips; must pass a telemetry competency assessment (85%+) on Day 1
- Experience in high-risk obstetrics preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
Certifications & Skills
- Current BLS and NRP certifications (NRP must remain valid through your assignment)
- Completion of Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course (AWHONN preferred)
- Dysrhythmia/Telemetry interpretation course preferred
