Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) – 12-Hour Day Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced ICU nurse for its Medical Intensive Care Unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment managing high-acuity patients with complex medical conditions.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour days (approximately 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, varied start times)
• 12 shifts per 3-week cycle
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• 96-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent MICU or critical care experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN certification
• Familiarity with critical care protocols and equipment

Holiday Expectations

You must commit to working 2 of the following major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day. Additionally, you'll work 1 minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.

What You'll Do

Care for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring, medication management, and procedural support. You'll work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in a supportive, evidence-based environment.
