Respiratory Therapist – Pediatric Critical Care

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join its pediatric critical care team. You will provide respiratory support to critically ill children across multiple high-acuity units, working night shifts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Shift & Schedule

  • Night shift: 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour (19:00–07:30)
  • 12-week contract
  • Start date: October 19, 2026
  • Guaranteed 48 hours per week
  • All scheduling requests and time-off needs must be communicated at submission and during your interview

Required Qualifications

  • Active Ohio RRT license (in hand at submission)
  • NBRC, BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS certifications (all current and active)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in pediatric respiratory care (NICU, PICU, CVICU)
  • Two professional references from a manager, supervisor, or director (from assignments in the past 12 months; no co-worker references)

Clinical Scope

You'll manage respiratory care for pediatric patients in high-level care units (Level 4), including neonatal, pediatric, and cardiovascular intensive care settings. Float assignments to affiliated children's rehabilitation and neonatal facilities may occur.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Negative 10-panel drug screen + nicotine (cotinine) test
  • Two fingerprinting sessions: one onsite, one through agency
  • Complete work history submission, including any previous facility positions
  • Facility is nicotine-free; no exceptions
  • Background review required; no license hits accepted
  • BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
