Med/Surg Telemetry — Night Shift

About the Role

Join the med/surg telemetry unit for night shifts (18:45–07:15) caring for adults and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses including diabetes, dementia, ia, COPD, sepsis, GI bleed, post-cardiac surgery, renal failure, and surgical recovery cases. You'll work as part of a collaborative team with respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response support.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and manage dysrhythmias; interpret EKGs and telemetry
• Administer blood products, medications (insulin, heparin, PCA), and manage IV lines (peripheral, central, PICC)
• Provide respiratory support: BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, oxygen therapy
• Manage specialty equipment and post-procedure care: chest tubes, tracheostomies, wound vacs, hemodialysis lines
• Perform phlebotomy, central line blood draws, and feeding tube management
• Support rapid response and code team activation
• Float to other units as needed; may include a nearby location (approximately 32 minutes away)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years med/surg or telemetry experience
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS and charge experience preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• First-time travelers welcome

Contract Details

• Duration: 13–26 weeks
• Shift: 3×12-hour nights; self-scheduled

• Orientation: 24 hours
• Call: None
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Time Off: 7-day RTO maximum; must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Scrubs: Navy blue or white
