ICU RN – Travel Contract | Newark, NY | Night Shift

This ICU travel opportunity is ideal for experienced critical care nurses comfortable managing high-acuity adult patients in a fast-paced intensive care environment.

Contract Details

• Shift: 4x12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Contract length: 17 weeks
• Start date: October 5, 2026
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Active New York RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Travel experience required
• Charge experience highly preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (all required)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Clinical Scope

The unit cares for adult patients across medical and surgical ICU diagnoses. Expected clinical skills include:

• Arterial line and central line management
• Continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade
• Titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
• IV insulin protocols
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Blood product administration and PICC line management
• 12-lead EKG acquisition and procedural sedation monitoring

Interdisciplinary Support

The care team is supported by respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, social services, and unit secretarial staff.

Additional Notes

• Requested time off may not exceed 10 days per contract
• Pre-start modules are required; up to 5 hours are compensable
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
