NICU Travel RN — Night Shift | Greenville, SC | 13-Week Contract
This high-acuity NICU position cares for neonates from 22 weeks gestation and greater, managing a wide range of complex diagnoses including HIE, RDS, TEF, diaphragmatic hernia, duodenal atresia, myelomeningocele, neonatal abstinence syndrome, sepsis, and abdominal wall defects.
Shift Options
- 4x12-hour nights (19:00–07:30) with no call, or
- 3x12-hour nights (19:00–07:30) with a minimum of one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly
- Every other weekend required; subject to change based on unit needs
- Float to other NICU units or campuses may be required
Special Procedures
- Full body therapeutic hypothermia (cooling)
- Chest tube placement and management
- Tracheostomy management
- Surgical repair of congenital anomalies (excluding cardiac)
- Avastin administration and laser eye surgery support
Clinical Skills Expected
- UAC/UVC management, arterial line monitoring, invasive hemodynamic monitoring
- High-frequency ventilation, bubble CPAP, HFNC, conventional ventilator management
- Ostomy and external shunt care
- Nitric oxide therapy, surfactant administration, phototherapy
- Neonatal dosage calculations, IV vasopressors, anti-seizure medications
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of NICU II and III experience (no first-time travelers)
- Active South Carolina RN license
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
- Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
Orientation
- 40-hour onboarding; pre-assignment modules required within 48 hours of login receipt
- Module hours (up to 16) are billable
Prior travel experience required. No first-time travelers considered.
