Operating Room – Travel Nursing Assignment
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Operating Room nurse for a day shift assignment. You'll work in a multi-specialty surgical environment supporting general, neurosurgical, orthopedic, transplant, and gynecological procedures, as well as bariatrics, urology, ENT, plastics, and ophthalmology cases.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 4x10-hour shifts (07:00–17:00)
- Contract Duration: 18 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Weekend Coverage & Call: Variable; details to be discussed during interview
- Floating: Within facility scope of practice and to outpatient areas as needed
- Time Off Policy: Maximum 7 days RTO per contract. No holiday time off approved. Blackout dates: 11/23–11/29 and 12/21–1/3.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years OR experience (travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted)
- Required specialty experience: Neurology, transplant, general surgery, GYN, and orthopedics
- Current RN license: Georgia or Compact state license
- BLS Certification
- Clinical skills: Demonstrate competency in abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, spinal fusion (ALIF/XLIF), craniotomy, laminectomy, total joint replacement, organ donation, and laparoscopic-assisted procedures
Additional Information
- Orientation: 36 hours (non-billable, scaled to contract length)
- Full compliance required prior to start; delays result in 2-week postponement due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
- Clinical screening will assess fit; qualified candidates advance to manager interview
- Local candidates accepted at standard rate
