Neuro Tele RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Neuro Tele RN to join a dedicated neurological telemetry unit. This role welcomes candidates with at least 1 year of experience, including first-time travelers.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 3x12-hour (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
- 13-week contract
- 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- No on-call required
- Self-scheduling
Clinical Scope
You'll care for patients across the neuro spectrum: acute stroke (comprehensive stroke center), TIA, epilepsy monitoring, neurosurgical cases (ACDF, TLIF, XLIF, craniotomy), subdural hematoma, and seizure disorders. The unit maintains a dedicated epilepsy monitoring section with continuous EEG surveillance. Most admissions arrive from the ED, ICU, or PACU.
Work closely with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and rapid response teams in a collaborative, team-driven environment.
Required Skills & Certifications
- BLS certification
- Telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Neuro stepdown care (aneurysm repair, CVA, post-neurosurgery, post-TPA, intracranial bleeds, spinal cord injury, substance withdrawal)
- Peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions
- Compact state license required at submission
Uniform
Solid navy blue scrubs or uniforms (colored piping acceptable).
Float Expectation
Yes—you may float between units as needed.
