Med Surg

Travel RN – Dedicated Float Pool | Med/Surg & Stepdown | Boone, NC

This is a dedicated float position requiring a highly adaptable RN comfortable moving between Stepdown, Med/Surg, and intermediate care units based on patient volume and acuity needs. Flexibility is essential — this is not a static unit assignment.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Days, 3x12 (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Contract: 13 weeks | ASAP start
• Weekends: Up to 2 per month
• Holidays: Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays; no holiday time-off requests accepted
• Dress code: All white or all navy scrubs

Clinical Scope

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Active NC or multistate (Compact) license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required (AHA-issued; must remain current throughout contract)
• Recent proficiency with electronic health records required
• All certifications and licenses must not expire during the contract period

Eligibility

• Candidates residing within 40 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Valid driver's license required for address verification prior to offer acceptance
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
