CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist | Greenville, SC | 13-Week Contract

This CVOR CST position places you in an active cardiovascular surgical program averaging three open-heart cases per day. The role demands a skilled, self-directed technologist comfortable with complex cardiac procedures and on-call responsibility.

Shift & Schedule

• Days, 4×10-hour shifts | 06:00–16:30
• On-call required after shift hours (Fridays and Sundays during scheduled weeks)
• Minimum two call days per week; 1–2 weekends per 6-week scheduling cycle

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
• Active CST certification through NBSTSA (no pending certifications accepted)
• BLS required
• Prior trauma-level cardiovascular surgical experience required
• Experienced travelers only; first-time travelers are not eligible

Clinical Scope

• First Assist roles
• CABG, mitral valve replacement, ASD repair, cardiomyoplasty
• Aortic aneurysm repair, atherectomy, pericardial window
• ECMO, VAD management
• Radiation safety and universal protocol/timeout procedures
• Mesh measuring and retained/additional foreign object timeout protocols

Floating

Float to the main OR is required when CVOR case volume is low. Floating to other qualified units or campuses may occur based on census needs.
