Emergency Department RN — Lubbock, TX
Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (07:00–19:00) | 13-Week Contract
This Emergency Department position is set in a busy, high-acuity ED serving adolescents, adults, pediatric, and geriatric patients. The unit manages a broad mix of emergent and urgent presentations, including stroke, STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, abdominal pain, trauma, shortness of breath, asthma, GU complaints, headaches, lacerations, and more.
The facility operates as a comprehensive stroke center and STEMI-receiving facility with Level II trauma capabilities. Clinicians must be comfortable with , BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line care and management, IV vasopressor administration, dysrhythmia management, and CVA care.
Shift & Scheduling
- Days, 3×12 (07:00–19:00)
- Self-scheduling
- 6 weekend shifts per 6-week cycle
- 36-hour orientation
- Must commit to 3 of 5 designated holidays
Required Certifications
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience (hard stop)
- Community hospital experience required
- Charge RN experience preferred
- LTAC and trauma experience preferred
- Travel RN experience preferred
- Valid compact RN license required at time of submission; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
Float
Travelers may be expected to float to nearby sister facilities. Refusal to float may result in assignment termination or loss of guaranteed hours.
