Registered Nurse – Emergency Room
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced RN for a 13-week assignment in the Emergency Department. You'll work nights (7 PM – 7 AM) on a rotating schedule with weekend rotations every other week. This is a full-time role with 36 guaranteed hours per week and on-call responsibilities.
Unit Description
The Emergency Department is a high-acuity environment managing a broad spectrum of acute and critical patients, from trauma and stroke to medical emergencies and procedural cases. You'll be part of a collaborative team responding to time-sensitive situations and providing rapid stabilization and intervention.
Requirements
- Active RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in emergency nursing
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- NIH Stroke Certification required
Preferred Qualifications
Floating
You may be assigned to float to other units as needed based on facility census and acuity.
Dress Code
- Royal blue scrubs
- Clean, healthy nails; no artificial, gel, or similar enhancements
- Hair pulled back if shoulder-length or longer; neat, clean appearance
- Tattoos should be covered whenever feasible
- Visible piercings beyond ears are not permitted
