Respiratory Therapist

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — Night Shift | Jackson, TN

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: Night, 3×12-Hour (18:45–07:15)

This respiratory therapy position is based in Jackson, TN and serves a diverse patient population spanning adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The role requires a well-rounded clinician comfortable managing moderate-to-high acuity respiratory patients across multiple age groups.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Administration of aerosolized medications via oral inhalation, EZPAP, IPPB, and MDI
• Chest physiotherapy (CPT), incentive spirometry, and oxygen therapy
• CPAP/BiPAP therapy initiation and management
• Arteriocentesis and ABG interpretation
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Weaning from mechanical ventilation and intubation assistance
• High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and airway management (oral and nasal)

Schedule & Coverage:

• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float expected per facility policy
• No block scheduling or special schedule requests accommodated

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active compact or Tennessee state license at time of submission
• Recent electronic health record experience within the past 12–18 months, clearly documented on profile; candidates must pass a competency exam (one attempt only)
• Two supervisory references required at submission

Vaccines:

• COVID-19: Required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Influenza: Required, no exemptions

Orientation: 36 hours included in contract

Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate as travelers.
