Respiratory Therapist — Travel Contract | Jackson, TN

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: October 5, 2026

This position places a Registered Respiratory Therapist in an active inpatient setting serving a diverse patient population spanning adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit operates with strong interdisciplinary support, including pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more.

Clinical Scope

• Aerosolized medication administration via oral inhalation, EZPAP, IPPB, and MDI
• CPT, incentive spirometry, oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, and arteriocentesis
• Adult critical care, mechanical ventilation weaning, and high-pressure alarm troubleshooting
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Tracheostomy care and management, intubation assist, airway placement and suctioning
• Inhaled medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Mucomyst, Xopenex, racemic epinephrine, and inhaled steroids
• High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy

Schedule & Coverage

• Weekend and holiday availability required
• No on-call obligations
• Floating may be expected

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RRT experience; travel experience preferred
• Active RRT credentials with BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active compact or Tennessee state license required at time of submission
• Electronic health record experience within the past 18 months required and must be documented on your profile; candidates must pass a competency exam on the first attempt
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); flu vaccine required with no exemptions
