This 16-week travel contract places you in an inpatient and 23-hour stay PACU managing a broad surgical patient population across a wide range of specialties.
Shift & Hours
- 4 x 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- 36–40 hours per week
- Weekday call required; occasional weekend coverage
Clinical Scope
The PACU serves primarily adult patients with some pediatric cases. Surgical services covered include endoscopy, ENT, general surgery, GYN and GYN oncology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, thoracic, urology, vascular surgery, and high-risk cesarean sections. Candidates must be comfortable recovering critical care–level patients.
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered New York RN license
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
- Ability to recover critical care patients
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (current)
- Proficiency with electronic medical records required
- Travel experience preferred
