Obstetrics Nurse – Night Shift
About the Role
The facility is seeking an experienced OB nurse for night shifts to join their obstetrics unit. You'll provide direct patient care across labor & delivery, postpartum, and recovery settings.
Responsibilities
- Support patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Provide postpartum care and patient education
- Monitor mother and newborn vital signs and clinical progress
- Float to the medical-surgical floor when obstetric census is low
Schedule & Contract
- Night shift, every third weekend off
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Start date: November 9, 2026
Requirements
- Current RN license (Iowa)
- OB experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Flexibility to float to med-surg units as needed
This is a straightforward night-shift assignment in a core OB setting with predictable weekend coverage and built-in flexibility across units.
