Ultrasound Technologist – Sonography

Position Overview

The facility's ultrasound department is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join the team on a 13-week contract. You'll work day shift (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) in a collaborative 2-room ultrasound suite, performing a broad range of diagnostic studies for a critical access facility.

Clinical Scope

You'll perform abdominal, pelvic, vascular (carotid/venous), ABI, OB/GYN, small parts, and breast ultrasounds. Patient exams are allocated 30 minutes to 1 hour per study. You'll be expected to scan efficiently, document findings, and write reports following established protocols and radiologist guidelines.

Requirements

• ARDMS certification (Abdomen or OB)
• RVT (Vascular) preferred
• BLS certification
• Strong OB experience (required)
• Ability to perform general ultrasound with vascular scanning
• High-risk OB experience a plus

Schedule & Expectations

• Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-Call: One night per week and one weekend per month (approximately 6–8 days per month)
• Float: May float to outpatient ultrasound if proficient
• Dress Code: Black scrubs
