Stroke & Brain Unit — PCU | Kansas City, MO

Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Contract

This night-shift travel position supports a dedicated Stroke & Brain unit focused on neurological and telemetry patients. The unit provides care for stroke patients and those requiring close cardiac monitoring, with tech support available.

Schedule & Hours

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 3–4 weekend shifts per scheduling period
• 36 guaranteed hours per week; 48-hour guarantee available as an option

Clinical Scope

• Stroke and neurology patient population
• Telemetry monitoring
• Cardiac drip management
• Basic dysrhythmia recognition and response

Float Policy

Travelers may be floated to other areas where competency has been demonstrated.

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS

Required Skills & Experience

• Active stroke experience (required)
• Telemetry experience (required)
• Cardiac drip administration
• Neurology background preferred
