Respiratory Therapist – NICU
Richmond, VA | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Contract
About the Role
The facility's NICU is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join the night shift team. You'll provide critical respiratory support to neonatal patients in a Level III or higher setting, managing a variety of therapeutic modalities and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Clinical Scope
You'll perform:
- Arterial blood gas analyses
- Ventilator management and adjustments
- BIPAP/CPAP therapy
- Nebulizer treatments
- Oxygen therapy administration
What You'll Need
- Current RRT credential
- Current Virginia State License
- Current BLS & ACLS certifications
- ICU experience (required)
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Schedule & Expectations
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, nights only
- Hours: 36 guaranteed per week
- Weekends: Rotating (required)
- On-call: One 24-hour shift approximately every 5–6 weeks
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
