Float Pool Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced RN for a 13-week night shift assignment (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts) in a float pool role. You will provide direct and indirect patient care across the Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical, and ICU units, responding to unit needs and staffing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care and perform thorough assessments across multiple units
- Communicate clinical changes, diagnostic results, and symptomatology to physicians and nursing leadership
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
- Work independently and delegate appropriately
- Manage crises with composure and confidence
- Assume responsibility for assigned patient populations while upholding service excellence standards
- Adjust schedule and float to other areas as assigned; accept low-census adjustments as needed
Requirements
- Current RN license (Ohio)
- Minimum 1 year experience in the Emergency Department, ICU, and Medical-Surgical nursing
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (current)
- COVID vaccination (proof required)
- Ability to work required weekends and holidays
- Willingness to maintain all licensures and adhere to staffing policies

- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Duration: 13 weeks
