Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist to deliver comprehensive therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You'll work under the direction of ordering physicians and the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director, caring for adult, pediatric, and newborn patients across a range of acuities and clinical scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to general floor, acute, and emergency patients, including trauma stabilization and newborn care
- Administer and interpret Pulmonary Function Studies
- Assist with orientation and training of new clinical staff on respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
- Participate in community education initiatives
- Maintain compliance with all facility and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Minimum 5 years of newborn/NICU respiratory care experience
- At least 3 years in acute respiratory care medicine (general floor, emergent medical/trauma, newborn stabilization, cardiopulmonary diagnostics)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Licensed to practice respiratory care in Colorado
- Member of the American Academy of Respiratory Care (AARC)
- Colorado adult protective services (CAPS) check required
Shift & Schedule
12-hour rotating shifts (days 6:00am–6:30pm), including rotating weekends. Two on-call shifts per rotation. 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Contract Details
13-week assignment beginning late September 2026.
Note: Rural location requires reliable personal transportation.
