Surgical Center Pre-Op RN

Position Overview

The facility's surgical center pre-op area is seeking an RN to provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced environment. You'll manage 55–70 same-day and overnight surgical cases across multiple suites, supporting patients through preoperative assessment, preparation, and care.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts per week
• Day shift options: 6–2, 7–3, 8–4, 9–5
• Occasional midnight shifts to support operational needs
• Rotating weekends: one 8-hour scheduled shift (7–3) plus one 24-hour secondary on-call day per scheduling period
• 1–2 secondary on-call days monthly (24-hour call, 7 AM–7 AM)
• 30-minute call response time required
• May float to OR holding area as needed

Requirements

• RN license (current and valid)
• BLS Certification
• Strong IV skills and surgical care knowledge
• Robotics experience a plus
• Scrubbing duties required
• Must provide unexpired driver's license with submission
• Must reside within 50-mile radius

Contract Details

• 13 weeks
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Start: September 15, 2026
• Up to 2 shifts may be cancelled per 13-week contract
• Unit-specific orientation provided
