RN – Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for night shift coverage on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. This is a 18-week contract (13 weeks also considered), working three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent Medical/Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Active the facility nursing license or current compact state license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in your specialty (required for submission; no peer references)

Clinical Expectations

You'll provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing medical/surgical patients. During orientation, you'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment; acceptable scores on both are required to proceed.

Compliance & Screening

• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• Background check and BCI/FBI fingerprinting required within 48 hours of contract signing
• Negative drug screen required
• No open background cases or license flags accepted

Extension Opportunity

Candidates may extend for up to 18 months with the facility.
