Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN

Assignment Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for an 18-week contract (13-week assignments also available) to provide winter coverage. You'll deliver direct patient care on a med/surg telemetry unit with potential to float to related units to support the same patient population.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) and Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preferred schedule
• Every-other-holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months permanent experience in medical/surgical nursing or telemetry
• Current RN license: Ohio state or compact state license required (must be in hand at submission)
• Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from past 12 months required

During Orientation

You'll complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments; acceptable scores on both are required to remain on assignment (maximum 2 attempts).

What to Expect

This is a fast-paced environment caring for post-operative, acute medical, and telemetry patients. You'll work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The facility values quality nursing care and operational flexibility.
