Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for an 18-week assignment (13 weeks also available) to provide winter coverage. You'll deliver care to telemetry patients in a busy med-surg unit, with potential to float to other units caring for similar patient populations.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Day (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) and Night (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preference
- Must work at least every other holiday
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
Requirements
- License: Permanent Ohio license or current compact state license in hand at time of submission
- Experience: 12 months of permanent, full-time experience in medical-surgical telemetry or related specialty required
- Certifications (active & current): BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Additional: One year of recent oncology/chemotherapy administration experience is preferred but not required; training provided to qualified candidates
During Orientation
You'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment. Both require passing scores to continue. (Two attempts maximum.)
What to Expect
Fast-paced med-surg telemetry nursing with collaborative team support. Your ability to manage multiple patients, recognize cardiac rhythms, and respond to acute changes will be essential.
Compliance Notes
Background check, drug screening, and BCI/FBI fingerprints required. COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions available).
