Labor & Delivery – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks experienced Labor & Delivery nurses for a 13-week contract assignment working nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). Two positions are available with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Unit Details
You'll work in a busy obstetric unit managing labor, delivery, and perioperative care. The unit includes labor beds, , operating room suites, and pre/post-op recovery areas. You'll care for patients across the full spectrum of obstetric care, from low-risk labor management to high-acuity deliveries and cesarean sections.
Patient Care & Clinical Scope
- Common procedures: Vaginal delivery, cesarean sections, cerclage placement and removal, IUPC placement
- Monitoring: Electronic fetal monitoring, ultrasound, standard obstetric assessment tools
Required Credentials & Experience
- Current RN license (TX)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Intrapartum electronic fetal monitoring (IEFM) competency
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN
- RNC-OB certification
- Advanced fetal monitoring skills
Unit Culture & Standards
- Experienced, stable nursing staff
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Collaborative team environment with charge nurses, midwives, and OR technicians
