Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist

Position Overview

Join a high-functioning cardiac catheterization lab team in Thornton, Colorado. This 13-week travel assignment offers the chance to work alongside engaged physicians and experienced staff in a supportive clinical environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 6:45 AM – 4:15 PM
• On-Call: Divided evenly across a 4-week rotation (typically 8–12 days per cycle); one weekend per block when needed
• Residency Requirement: Must live within 30 minutes of the facility

Clinical Scope

The lab performs a full range of cardiac and peripheral procedures:

• Left and right heart catheterizations
• Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
• Peripheral diagnostic and interventional studies
• Pacemaker and ICD placements
• Cardioversions
• Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
• Tilt table and dobutamine stress tests

You'll work in 2 catheterization suites and 3 holding bays with a 3-to-1 staff-to-patient ratio on a day shift team of 9 professionals.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months acute care hospital cath lab experience
• BLS certification
• ARRT (R) and RCIS or RCES certification
• Willingness to apply for Colorado fluoroscopy operator registration (DORA) prior to start
• Positive, flexible attitude with commitment to quality patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT (CI) or (CV)
• Holding and monitoring experience
