L&D / LDRP Registered Nurse — Travel Contract

Sacramento, CA | 13-Week Contract | 12-Hour Nights

This high-acuity LDRP unit provides comprehensive obstetric care — from labor and delivery through postpartum and couplet care. Candidates must be comfortable managing all aspects of LDRP care, including circulating C-sections, and willing to float to Mother-Baby as needed.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Bedside report at 6:45 PM
• Every other weekend required; holiday rotation with staff
• First to float; mid-shift float to other area facilities is rare but possible
• Guaranteed 36 hours/week
• On-call response time: 30 minutes
• Scrubs provided

Unit Scope

• High-risk OB unit managing preterm labor, bleeding, inductions, cesarean sections, and hypertension
• All RNs must be able to circulate C-sections and titrate drips (including Pitocin)
• EFM interpretation required; EKG strip reading required for patients in PACU
• OB Surgical Techs on unit; OB Hospitalist in-house 24/7; Neonatologist on call 24/7; Anesthesia in-house 24/7
• NRP "Baby Catcher" role may be assigned for full shift

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• STABLE preferred

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of L&D / LDRP experience
• Must be able to circulate C-sections and manage couplet care independently
• Comfortable with advanced fetal monitoring and drip titration
• BSN not required; active CA RN license required

Cancellation Policy

Up to 4 shifts may be cancelled over a 13-week assignment.
