PCU / Stepdown

Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Nights | Derry, NH

This 13-week night shift contract (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) places you in a progressive care unit managing intermediate-acuity cardiac and medical patients. The unit operates with a structured nursing team that flexes with patient volume.

Clinical Focus

The PCU cares for patients requiring close cardiac monitoring, including those with dysrhythmias and those on critical drips. Experience with pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care and pacer patient management is a strong advantage.

Float Requirements

Nurses may be asked to float to Med/Surg, the ICU (for border patients), or the Emergency Department (for ED holds).

Schedule & Commitment

• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required (or equivalent based on staffing needs)

Required Qualifications

• Active compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a hospital setting
• Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills
• Critical drip experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Pre/post cardiac cath experience
• Pacer patient care experience
