Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Derry, NH
This 91-week contract (structured as consecutive 13-week terms) places you in a fast-paced Emergency Department in Derry, New Hampshire. The night shift runs 19:00–07:00 with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
The Unit
The ED supports a broad patient population with moderate-to-high acuity, including stroke and cardiac cases. The department is supported by ED technicians, EMTs, and paramedics. Floating to other units is not typical.
Clinical Scope
Candidates should be comfortable performing:
- Moderate sedation
- Central line placement
- Chest tube placement
- IV insertion and lab draws
- Point-of-care testing
- EKGs
- Respiratory treatments
Scheduling
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
- Patient experience expectations include whiteboard documentation and consistent patient/family communication
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS or ENPC
- CPI (must obtain within 30 days of start)
Preferred Certification
- TNCC
Minimum Experience
- 2–3 years of Emergency Department RN experience
