PACU Nurse – 13-Week Travel Contract

Position Overview

Join the PACU team for a 13-week assignment managing post-operative recovery across pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II care areas. You'll care for adult and pediatric patients recovering from a wide range of surgical procedures in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• Primarily Monday–Friday days; rotation to evenings and weekends as needed
• Pre-op shifts begin at 5:30 AM; PACU shifts range from 7:30 AM–10:00 AM
• Call requirement: approximately 20 hours per month (1-hour response time); you select your own call shifts
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 2 shifts per 13-week contract may be cancelled

Clinical Scope

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Prior PACU experience; trauma PACU experience preferred
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilation, CPAP, BiPAP, and cardiac strip interpretation
• Ability to float to other pre/post-operative departments as needed

Orientation

1 day each in pre-op, PACU, and Phase II.
