Intensive Care Unit – RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) in a mixed medical and surgical intensive care setting, joining a skilled team dedicated to high-acuity patient care.

Clinical Scope

This unit manages critically ill patients requiring advanced hemodynamic support, mechanical ventilation, and post-operative cardiac care. You'll be involved in procedures including intubation, central and arterial line insertion, chest tube management, pericardiocentesis, thoracentesis, TEE/TTE, transvenous pacing, and cardioversion. Patient populations include post-open-heart surgery, ECMO candidates, sepsis, and device-dependent patients.

Requirements

• Current RN license (must be in hand before submission)
• ACLS and BLS certification
• Telemetry experience required; PCU or higher-level experience strongly preferred
• Prior ICU experience is ideal
• Comfortable with critical drips, ventilators, and hemodynamic monitoring

Schedule & Logistics

• 36 guaranteed hours weekly
• Every third weekend; no on-call obligations
• Float responsibilities to progressive care as needed
• Organized, adaptable personality essential

Contract Terms

• 13-week assignment
