RN – Observation Unit Stepdown & Floor
Position Overview
Join the Observation Unit at the facility in Morgantown, WV for a 13-week contract. You'll work 36 hours per week on three 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM), with every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
Unit Details
Key Responsibilities
- Titrate drips in stepdown and manage heparin gtts on the floor
- Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips; telemetry and monitor technicians support the unit
- Collaborate with a charge nurse on each shift, 24/7 in-house house supervisor, and 3–4 nurse aids per 31 patients
- Work alongside respiratory therapy, available 24/7 (no ventilators on this unit)
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to manage titratable medications and cardiac monitoring
- Flexibility with weekends and holiday scheduling
Additional Information
- Dress code: Royal blue scrubs
- Charting via established hospital system
- Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
