Shift: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (12-hour days)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

About the Unit
This active post-anesthesia care unit manages a diverse surgical patient population across multiple acuity levels. The unit routinely recovers patients following complex procedures including craniotomies and orthopedic surgeries, requiring strong assessment skills and the ability to manage rapidly changing patient conditions.
Unit Structure:
- Day shift is staffed with a charge nurse and a full nursing team
- Night shift operates with a smaller RN team; some nights may be covered as on-call shifts
On-Call Requirements:
- On-call is required as part of this assignment
- Must be available to respond within 30 minutes when on-call
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PACU RN experience
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong patient-focused attitude; ability to remain calm under pressure
Preferred:
- Flexibility with scheduling and hours
- Prior PACU experience with post-craniotomy or complex orthopedic patients
