Neuro/Ortho Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care on a Neuro/Ortho unit. This is a 13-week contract position working nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with facility policies and protocols
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Document and communicate patient condition changes to the healthcare team
- Serve as the primary coordinator among clinical disciplines
- Execute physician and nursing orders
- Assess discharge planning needs and coordinate with the care team
- Demonstrate critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Unit Details
You'll work on a focused Neuro/Ortho unit caring for patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions. Navy or maroon scrubs are required.
Requirements
- Current, active RN license (verification required)
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-stress environment
- Willingness to work night shifts
Standard Onboarding
All candidates complete facility onboarding requirements, including immunization documentation, background check, skills verification, and EMR orientation.
