Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (5:30 AM – 6:00 PM), Monday–Friday
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 40/week

Position Overview
This outpatient/chronic dialysis unit is seeking an experienced Charge Nurse to lead a patient pod and support both outpatient chronic and acute inpatient dialysis operations. The Charge Nurse is expected to run a patient pod independently, including stringing and setting up dialysis machines, while overseeing team workflow.
Schedule Details
- Monday–Friday: 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM (10-hour shifts based on department needs)
- Every other weekend: 10-hour shift, 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Occasional Sundays due to holidays
- On-call: Weeknight coverage 6:00 PM – 5:30 AM; Weekend call Saturday 6:00 PM – Monday 5:30 AM
- Float: Required to other dialysis locations
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of dialysis experience
- Charge Nurse experience required
- Outpatient chronic and acute dialysis experience required
- AV fistula and AV graft cannulation
- Tunneled and non-tunneled catheter management
- Administration of blood and blood products
- Dialysate conductivity testing and alarm management
- Emergency response: cardiac arrest/CPR, dysrhythmia interpretation, seizure management, hypotension, fluid overload, hemolysis, and pyrogenic reactions
Certifications & Licensure
- BLS required
- Active New York RN license required at time of submission
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
