Travel RN – Telemetry | Saratoga Springs, NY | Night Shift
Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Start: October 2026
Unit Overview
This telemetry unit manages an adult and geriatric patient population with a focus on cardiac monitoring, stroke care, and continuous IV medication management. The unit maintains a high level of interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response, physical therapy, and social services.
Shift & Scheduling
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend coverage required
- Float within the hospital as needed within your skill set
- 24-hour orientation; pre-approved time off available
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of recent telemetry or step-down experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start
- Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation — candidates must pass an on-site proctored EKG exam (≥85% overall; 100% accuracy on critical rhythms)
- A pre-screening Relias EKG exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing with a passing score
Clinical Skills
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- IV cardiac medication and continuous infusion management
- Stroke care and neurological assessment experience strongly preferred
Additional Requirements
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption required
- All required online modules must be completed by 7:00 AM the Wednesday before your start date
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
