Telemetry Float Pool — Travel RN
Saratoga Springs, NY | Nights | 13-Week Contract
This travel RN opportunity is on a Telemetry Float Pool unit, working night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour) with a 13-week contract starting October 2026.
Unit & Clinical Scope
Nurses will care for a mixed telemetry and step-down patient population, including patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, IV cardiac medication management, continuous infusions, and stroke care. Floating within the hospital is expected based on skill set and clinical need.
Rhythm Recognition Requirement
Candidates must demonstrate strong rhythm interpretation skills. A proctored EKG exam is required on-site (minimum 85% overall; 100% accuracy on critical rhythms). Prior to the onsite exam, candidates must complete an online EKG assessment within 72 hours of signing and achieve 100% accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Active NY RN license (permanent license required — temp license not accepted)
- BLS, ACLS required; NIHSS can be obtained prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of recent telemetry or step-down experience
- Proficiency in IV cardiac medication management and continuous infusions
- Familiarity with stroke care and management
- Charting experience required
Preferred Experience
- Critical drip and CVA/stroke experience
- Travel nursing experience
Additional Details
- Shift: Nights, 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Patient ratio: 4–5:1
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption required
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Saratoga Springs to be eligible
- Orientation modules must be completed by the Wednesday before your start date
