Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Saratoga Springs, NY

Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 13-Week Contract

This telemetry unit serves an adult and geriatric population, with a clinical focus on cardiac rhythm management, stroke care, and IV medication titration. Travelers on this unit should be comfortable managing continuous infusions and critical drips, and must demonstrate strong dysrhythmia recognition skills.

Shift & Scheduling

  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Weekend coverage required
  • Floating within the hospital may be required based on skill set

Required Qualifications

  • Active New York RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of recent telemetry or stepdown experience
  • BLS and ACLS (required prior to start)
  • NIHSS certification (may be obtained prior to start)
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
  • Experience with IV cardiac medications, continuous infusions, and stroke care

Testing & Compliance

  • Candidates must complete an EKG assessment and pass an on-site rhythm identification exam (≥85% overall; 100% accuracy on critical rhythms required)
  • All required online modules must be completed by 7:00 AM on the Wednesday prior to orientation start — estimated 12–15 hours
  • Flu vaccine or approved exemption required

Eligibility

  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from Saratoga Springs to qualify
  • 2 years of specialty experience required; travel experience preferred
  • Start Date: November 2, 2026
