ICU Travel Nurse — Medical/Cardiovascular Intensive Care | Toledo, OH

Shift: Nights | 3×12-Hour (18:45–07:15)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

Start Date: October 13, 2026

This adult ICU position manages a high-acuity, cardiovascular-focused patient population. Nurses care for adults presenting with cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, pulmonary edema, cardiogenic shock, cardiac tamponade, dysrhythmias, acute respiratory failure, renal failure, sepsis, and complex metabolic disturbances.

Clinical Skills & Procedures Required:

  • Pulmonary artery/Swan-Ganz monitoring and management
  • Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management
  • CRRT/CVVHD
  • Target temperature management
  • Pre/post cardiac cath care and femoral/radial sheath removal
  • Central line and arterial line care and management
  • PICC line management
  • Initiation and titration of vasopressors, cardiac drips, and continuous IV sedation
  • Blood product administration
  • Ventilator management, HFNC, suctioning (ETT/NT), and ABG interpretation
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Schedule & Float:

  • Every other weekend required; no on-call
  • Float expected within adult ICUs, adult acute care, and ED (boarding inpatients)
  • Floating between multiple area facilities as needed
  • No block scheduling; schedule changes given with two-week notice

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
  • Active RN license (Ohio; pending not accepted)
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
  • Charting experience required
  • Non-local only (50-mile radius rule applies)
  • Two professional references from within the past 24 months
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Scrub color: Navy
