Oncology RN — Inpatient/Outpatient | Fremont, OH | 13-Week Contract
This oncology unit cares for adult and geriatric patients across a broad spectrum of diagnoses, including breast, bowel, bladder, brain, lung, gynecologic, head and neck, prostate, pancreatic cancers, lymphomas, multiple myelomas, and chronic leukemias, as well as non-oncologic conditions such as MDS, MS, Crohn's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and chronic anemia.
Shift & Schedule
- Days, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00–16:30)
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
Clinical Responsibilities
- IV chemotherapy administration, including bladder installations
- Implanted port access and care; PICC line care; central line blood draws
- Peripheral IV insertion; foley catheter insertion and management
- SQ/IM injections; blood product administration
- Chemotherapy monitoring and recognition/communication of abnormal lab values
- Patient and family education and psychosocial support; care coordination
Required Certifications & Experience
- Active RN license (Michigan license required in hand; Ohio pending acceptable)
- BLS and ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience
- Inpatient or outpatient oncology background accepted
- Electronic charting experience required
- Locals within 50 miles not accepted
