Operating Room RN – General, Neuro, Ortho & Transplant

Shift & Schedule

Day shift, 4x10-hour (07:00–17:00). Variable weekend and call requirements to be discussed at interview. Contract duration: 18 weeks.

About the Role

The facility's Operating Room serves multiple surgical specialties including general surgery, neurology, orthopedics, transplant (solid organ), bariatrics, urology, ENT, plastics, oral surgery, and ophthalmology. You'll support a diverse surgical schedule with patients ranging from routine procedures to complex cases.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of Operating Room experience prior to travel
  • Current BLS certification
  • Active RN license (Georgia or Compact)
  • Hard Stop Requirements: Demonstrated experience in neurology, transplant, general surgery, GYN, and orthopedics is essential. Candidates without this specific skill set will not be screened.

Core Responsibilities

  • Float within the facility across surgical specialties and to outpatient areas as needed
  • Support procedures including craniotomies, spinal fusion, joint replacements, organ transplants, hysterectomies, hernia repairs, and more
  • Work alongside interdisciplinary teams including IV services, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • Adhere to full compliance protocols; all onboarding documents due by Tuesday prior to start date

Time Off & Compliance

  • Maximum 7 days RTO per contract (must be finalized at submission)
  • No holiday RTO approved during blackout dates (11/23–11/29, 12/21–1/3)
  • Orientation week: No RTO requests permitted
  • Full compliance required to start on schedule; delays trigger 2-week postponement due to bi-weekly orientation
