Operating Room Nurse – Multi-Specialty
Position Overview
Join the surgical team in a busy operating room managing diverse surgical specialties. You'll work in a dynamic environment performing a wide range of procedures across general surgery, neurology, transplant, orthopedics, and gynecological cases.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 4x10-hour shifts (07:00–17:00)
- Contract Duration: 18 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Float: Within facility and to outpatient services as needed
- Weekend & Call: Variable; details discussed at interview
- Maximum RTO: 7 days per contract
- Blackout Dates: 11/23–11/29 and 12/21–1/3 (no holiday RTO approved)
Requirements
- License: Georgia or Compact RN license
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of OR experience prior to travel assignment
- Required Expertise: Demonstrated competency in neurosurgery, transplant, general surgery, gynecology, and orthopedic cases
- Certification: BLS
- Clinical Screen: All candidates reviewed for clinical fit before manager approval
Specialty Focus
The OR encompasses bariatrics, urology, neurology, ENT, oral surgery, plastics, transplant (solid organ), ophthalmology, general surgery, gynecology, and orthopedics. You'll encounter procedures including craniotomy, spinal fusion, organ procurement, hysterectomy, joint replacement, and many others.
Compliance
Full compliance required to begin on schedule. All onboarding documents must be submitted by Tuesday prior to start date.
Note: This assignment does not accept first-time travelers. Travel experience is required.
