MRI Technologist – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
Join the imaging department as an MRI Technologist in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll perform high-quality MRI studies across a diverse patient population, from neonates and pediatrics through geriatric and acute care patients. This role offers day shift hours with rotating weekend call.
Schedule
- Day shifts: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (6:00 AM–6:30 PM or 8:00 AM–8:30 PM)
*Alternative option: 2 × 12-hour + 2 × 8-hour shifts*
- Weekends: Rotating, with on-call availability until 9:00 PM
- No overnight shifts
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
Clinical Scope
You'll perform MRI studies including abdominal, neuro, cardiac, pulmonary, angiography, and trauma imaging. Skills encompass MR angiograms, MR venograms, MRCP, stress cardiac protocols, and pediatric imaging. You'll also start peripheral IVs and administer contrast media under protocol.
Requirements
- Active ARRT MR and ARRT R certifications
- Current BLS (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year MRI experience
- Active PA or Compact license
- Willing to float within the facility and to sister locations within a 10-mile radius if needed
- Available to work every other holiday
What to Expect
- 40-hour orientation
- Collaborative team including IV specialists, radiology, and rapid response
- Patient ratios: 2 per shift (days, nights, weekends)
- Two pre-approved time-off periods
Start Requirements
All compliance items (fingerprinting, drug screen, labs, modules) must be cleared by the Wednesday before your start date.
