Wound Care Specialist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Wound Care Specialist for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work in a dedicated wound care program, providing assessment, treatment, and education for patients with acute and chronic wounds.
Schedule & Duration
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Hours: 5 × 8-hour shifts per week (40 hours)
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
Required Qualifications
- WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse) or CWOCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse) certification
- Training or certification in wound care management
- AHA BLS Certification (required at hire)
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR charting)
Clinical Scope
You'll evaluate and manage patients with wounds ranging from minor lacerations to complex surgical, pressure, and diabetic injuries. Responsibilities include wound assessment, dressing changes, patient and caregiver education, and collaboration with the care team to optimize healing outcomes.
